Starlite San Diego – Est. 2007
Starlite is San Diego’s hidden gem nestled on an unassuming corner of India St near Sassafras St in Middletown/Mission Hills. We’re all about incredible atmosphere, drinks, and food. A relaxed and wondrous experience sets the tone for meeting with friends, thoughtful cocktails, local food, and late nite dining.
Starlite is always 21 & Up due to our liquor license.
Starlite is an award winning architectural space like no other. A glass door that opens up up to a slatted hexagonal hallway leads directly to Starlite’s sunken bar. Above the bar, hangs a striking chandelier crafted of stainless steel tubing, angled at the ends to reveal the embedded lights to twinkle and reflect in the mirrored ceiling. Natural elements such as stacked stone, walnut paneling, and cork tiles, compliment the gold pendants and luxe black leather booths.

LOCAL, NATURAL FOOD. STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE.
Starlite San Diego offers hand-made cuisine that utilizes the year-round abundant produce available in our temperate climate. We use the freshest ingredients we can find locally in Southern California. As a result, our menu changes frequently to accommodate the seasonality of local products. Our Executive Chef Amanda Michels believes in “slow food” — natural, local, and sustainably sourced as much as possible.
Our mission is and always has been to use as many local and/or organic fruits and veggies as possible. This means 90% of the produce we buy comes from your neighbors! We also try to use as much sensibly raised and/or harvested proteins as we can. This means about 60% of the animal-based products (meat, dairy, egg and seafood) served here come from businesses that don’t engage in typical factory farming methods or are harvested from sustainable sources.
Starlite is 21 & up dining only. Please be sure to bring ID. Reservations are for dinner only but the bar is open seating. For parties larger than 10 please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
